The Export Response Data feature allows you to download all feedback data collected in your project, including both numerical scores and written comments.
Exports are provided in a structured format for further analysis, reporting, or integration with other tools.
What Is Included in the Export
The export includes:
- Numerical responses (ratings and scores)
- Written comments (narrative feedback)
- Subject and project-level information
- Responses grouped by category (e.g., Manager, Peers, Direct Reports, Self)
For example, narrative exports group comments by question and responder category, making it easy to review themes across respondents.
Export Options
When exporting data, you can configure:
Include
- Select which subjects to include in the export
- Example: All Subjects or a single subject
Division of Files
- Per Project – Separate files for each project
- Other options may be available depending on configuration
Report Type
- Interim – Export current data while keeping questionnaires open
- Final – Close questionnaires for selected subjects and finalize responses
When to Use Export Response Data
Use this feature when you need to:
- Perform deeper analysis outside the platform (e.g., Excel, BI tools)
- Share raw data with stakeholders or analysts
- Combine results across multiple systems or datasets
- Conduct custom reporting beyond standard Subject or Group Reports
Understanding the Export Files
Exports are typically provided as a zipped file containing:
- Structured data files (e.g., CSV) for numerical analysis
- Narrative comment files organized by question and category
Narrative files present feedback in a readable format, grouped by:
- Subject
- Question
- Responder category
This structure makes it easy to identify patterns, strengths, and development opportunities across responses.
Important Considerations
- Selecting Final will close questionnaires and prevent additional responses
- Exported data reflects the current state at the time of export
- Ensure appropriate permissions and confidentiality when sharing raw data
